My wife and I decided to take the kids to Tampa last weekend. We haven’t been to Tampa in a long time and we wanted to take the kids someplace special before the new school year began. Since we were in the city for 2 days, we decided to go with the Tampa Bay CityPASS. The City Pass is a unique ticket that allows admission to 5 different Tampa Bay attractions. These attractions include Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, the Florida aquarium, zoo tampa at Lowry Park, the marine aquarium, and a choice between the Museum of Science and Industry or a sunset dolphin cruise. The CityPASS is a cheap way to see several different attractions in one weekend. My wife and I thought it was a great deal so we bought passes for both of us and all three of our children. I was particularly excited to go to Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park. That was the place I wanted to go first. Unfortunately, it was extremely hot and humid that day and very uncomfortable outdoors. We spent about two hours at the Tampa zoo, before we decided to go to a different attraction that was indoors with air conditioning. The kids certainly didn’t mind going to the aquarium and my wife and I were much more comfortable in the aquarium than we were outside at the zoo. The next day the outdoor temperatures were a bit less muggy and humid, so we spent that day doing another activity that required us to be outdoors. The kids had a lot of fun that weekend and so did we.
