I planned to take my girlfriend to the beach last Saturday.
It was my only day off work and she had been talking about the beach for several weeks.
The weather was supposed to be warm and sunny that day and I was particularly excited to try a new pair of swimming shorts that my girlfriend purchased for me. I got up early in the morning and stopped at the diner to pick up some breakfast for my girlfriend and I. I arrived at her apartment a few minutes later and she was happily surprised. She got out of bed and got dressed with a bathing suit and a sundress. We talked about going to Clearwater Beach and we talked about going to Davis Islands Beach. Both beaches are very nice and close to the Tampa Bay area where we live. We decided that Davis Islands Beach would be the best place for an entire day. My girlfriend and I got into the car and we went to the grocery store to pick up some items for a picnic lunch. While we were in the grocery store, clouds and thunder rolled into the area. We came out of the store and it was pouring down rain. The whole sky was filled with clouds and the sun wasn’t anywhere in sight. It was chilly outside and raining and our warm day at the beach was halted when it started to rain. We sat in the AC in the car until it stopped raining. The AC felt nice, but I had shiver bumps. Thankfully, it only took thirty minutes.
