I grew up in a family that was filled with competitive people.

My parents and my grandparents played hard every weekend on Saturdays and Sundays. I was gambling before I was old enough to drive. I always dreamed of going to Vegas so I could see the lights and hear all of the sounds. The only thing I know about Vegas was what I saw in movies. It looked very exciting and glamorous. Last year for my birthday, my wife surprised me with a trip to Las Vegas. We took an airplane on a six-hour ride and we had two delays during the process, but we arrived at our destination in one piece. We rented a car from a place close to the Las Vegas Airport. My wife and I placed all of our items in the trunk of the car and waited headed over to the hotel. A lot of people might take this opportunity to stay in a casino hotel, but I didn’t want to be tempted by all of the lights and sound. I didn’t want to spend more money then I planned, and staying out of the casino all day was part of that plan. My wife and I went to a show and we also decided to go to a recreational marijuana shop. Recreational and medical marijuana sales are legal in the state of Nevada and the city of Las Vegas. There were marijuana dispensaries all over the place including on the strip. I was amazed by the marijuana products that were available, especially in regular souvenir shops.
