The University of Colorado has a lot of different locations, but I decided to attend the Denver location because of the winter sports skiing program.
I have been skiing since I was 6 years old.
My dad was on the Olympic ski jumping team and he introduced me to the sport when I was very young. When snowboarding became a huge sensation, I immediately switched from skis to a single board. I almost qualified for the X Games when I was 16 years old. The University of Colorado offered me a scholarship if I joined their winter sports program. I spent four years at UC of Denver and then I decided to complete my master’s program in a different state. I only lived there for a couple of months and I missed Denver. I missed the cold air and the altitude. I missed the mild climate in the summer. As soon as I finished with my Master’s Degree, I decided to move back to Denver. I never qualified for the X Games, but I still continue to ski and snowboard with my wife and my kids. We all enjoy the winter sports and it is one of the reasons why we continue to live in Colorado. There are plenty of places around the country where I could earn more money, but there is something special about the mile high city. The people and the atmosphere are equally nice. There are also a number of museums, parks, restaurants, bars, and activities for the whole family. It’s easy to fall in love with the city.
