I don’t know how people don’t live with four distinct seasons.
My sister lives down south.
She basically lives in scorching heat, doable heat and slightly less hot weather. Her leaves don’t change and fall. She just always has new growth. She can’t have any good plants because they never go dormant in the cold. Her spring flowers always die in the ground when she plants them. I love living in Libertyville Illinois because I get all the seasons. I love the holidays and it is easy to get in the holiday spirit when the season reflects it. The fall brings about leaves changing and falling. The weather gets cooler when I want to wear a sweater. I then get in the mood for apple cider, buying pumpkins and getting ready for Halloween and Thanksgiving. We actually get snow in December-March. We can get a real Christmas tree and my kids can play in the snow. My sister’s kids never get to experience snow days like my kids do. Their school just operates all year around. There is something sad about that. I love that moment where I can tell the kids the snow has made it so they can stay home from school and play. I love that our Christmas is a white. Spring brings about the flowers and the rain. The summer season might be before, but we still operate an air conditioner for two months. The heat is just warm enough to enjoy it. We can do a beach day or play soccer at the field if we want to. My sister has to hide inside during her summer due to the heat.
